      Query Tips

      • Generalize your search, e.g. chinese instead of haka noodles .
      • Use the asterisk wildcard when you don't know the exact spelling, e.g. disco* instead of discotheque.
      • Using Boolean terms like AND or OR
        • AND terms will give you results that include all of your search terms. e.g. Bar AND Restaurant.
        • OR terms will give you results that include either of your search terms. e.g. Chinese OR Thai.
      • Using Negative terms gives you the ability to exclude certain results from your search results. If you are searching for an Italian restaurant and don't want pizza outlets, you should use the term Italian NOT Pizza and the search results will exclude all specialty pizza businesses and display only Italian restaurants.
      • Choosing the right search terms is the key to an effective search. Be careful while picking your terms and try and keep them as broad as possible to get the widest set of results: For example, if you are looking for a Paan stall, you should use the search term Paan, rather than Paanwala. On the other hand, if you are looking for Pizza, do not use the term Italian
