Me and my wife had been here some time back. I had read and heard quite a ot about this place and therefore decided to visit. I made my way through heavy city traffic all teh way from Aundh area to the restaurant. Took me about an hour in the evening traffic. I was looking to finally relax at the place.
I entered and the ambience looked promising. But unfortunately, thats all was there to it, the menus looked well designed and there was a quaint London-ish feel to the place (the big red bus cannot be missed). Post that, it all went downhill from there. We asked for the menus and they arrived late, that ticked me off for a bit. I believe the proprieter was on the floor then and he seemed entusiastic - a feeling not mutually shared with his staff. We ordered for drinks and were served miniscule amounts. I say that; because I thought Hard Rock Cafe would be the most expensive place in the city (apart from the five stars) given that its a world chain - some of the menu items at 11 East Street were quite more expensive. Moreover, the quantities were minimal - like prasad!
Unfortunately the food story was the same. There were expensive dishes galore and miniscule quantities - that arrived late and did not taste great.
My review is not for the new year party as below and therefore i would advise only a single visit - to check out the ambience. Rest of it isnt great...
Verdict: 2 out of 5 stars, and they're only for the ambience
