What would you expect when you order 'Crispy Potato with Garlic and Capsicum'? Whatever you may think, you certainly don't want french fries with fried garlic and capsicum. Moreover, you feel like everyone's face is carrying only one question: Why are you here? Didn't you have any other place to go! -

Avg. food and Bad service 2010-10-12
the chinese, though i tried only vegetarian food was quite average,..burnt the simplest hakka noodles...the starter of potato fritters (french fries in some gravy), was good though along with main course of some mongolian ball.
and man...what a pathetic service, its like no one is interested in serving the customer...
and why dont these restos accept cards ??? -

The worst dining experiance I have had in Pune! 2010-04-21
I went to this place expecting a decent Chinese meal, turned out to be a mistake.
The exterior and interior are pretty well done to give off a Chinese vibe, and being situated on the heart of busy JM Road it manages get the clientele to keep busy.
I have seen this restaurant many times while walking down JM road and wanted to try out what they offered. I went there one afternoon with my girl friend, there was no electricity and it was a really hot summer afternoon. It was damn hot inside,to make matters worse we were given a table in the corner near the kitchen door.

LANDMINE OF SALT 2009-10-09
After a grueling 2 hours of shopping in the parched heat we walked by a tempting Shiv Sagar & stepped into China Gate in the heart of J M ROAD.
There was not a soul to welcome or greet us, we stood at the reception, 5 minutes later a shabbily dressed waiter informed us that the AC was down & we would have to wait a good 20 minutes. He was not courteous to offer us a seat nor a drink of water....there we stood like mannequins on display.
