Miniwok has been in the top of my mind, but for some unknown reason, this kept moving down the order.
Today out of the blue, i just felt like stopping and ordering from them. There is nothing for decor apart from 4 tables and a cool drink freezer, but that doesnt make a difference since i believe most of their orders are takeout or delivered.
The delivery probably being their forte, the food is also packed accordingly. When i reached the place, Deepti was at the counter and she probably knows her regular customers. Seeing me for the first time, she "suggested" the pan fried noodles. I generally dont go by these suggestions but this time i gave in.
When Deepti was taking my order, i was looking into the kitched behind. That was a place where i could go and cook without having to clean up the place. It was probably the cleanest kitchen among eateries i've seen so far.
Everything was very clean, properly arranged and coded. I paid the bill and left. I requested the food be delivered to my office. The food was there within the given time frame. I was expecting a packet, but it was delivered in plastic box.
I was really impressed when i asked for lesser amounts of MSG and oil - i was told they dont use MSG. This is one place my wife would love to come. May be they can cater to expectant mothers craving for Chinese.
Now about the food - i dint know what to expect but when i opened, i was taken aback. It was a hearty potion. On top i could see zuccini , huge peices of chicken, yellow peppers, caramelized onion, tomatoes, brocolli. The entire dish was probably stacked and then drenched with the sauce.
The first spoon was the best feeling i'de had the entire day. It was a soy based sauce - huge chunks of chicken and good portion of vegetables. It wasn't too oily nor was it biased to some spice. The noodles were nicely tossed. I dont want to divulge too many details of the dish but be assured, it will not disappoint you.
i probably will want to taste everything they have to offer on the menu.
One should sue them for not opening a store in Aundh....
This is by far the most affordable chinese one can get.
