Very Average

Nothing to boast about....very average food and service was quite a let down....I feel BBQ Nation service stands up compared to Sigree...the person kept forgetting the order.

Expected better from Speciality Restaurants

This review relates to about 6/7 months back. Pune was rained in, but still took the effort to drive to Sigree - especially since we had heard so much about it. Also, being a patron of Mainland China, Oh Calcutta and Sweet Bengal, I was confident about the experience. In fact, I have been enjoying their food since the Only Fish days at the tiny place in Shivaji Park, Mumbai - where Sweet Bengal is now.

Alas - the kababs came in cold, and it was visible that roomali roti was not one of its strengths - in fact it appeared that a novice was doing them.

Usual run of the mill food

We had gone to Sigree with high expectations after reading the reviews. It was quite a disappointment. The food was the usual spicy, oily food. The flavours were just the usual, which one would find in any normal Indian restaurant, nothing exceptional. The quantity of food served in Ala carte was very little. The Raita we ordered was fit to feed just one person. It is hard to imagine that Sigree is owned by the same chain that runs restaurants like Mainland China!!!!

Good value for money

I have been to sigree a couple of times and love both the inside and outside location.. The low seating, light music and the smell of kabas roasting make the experiance truly memorable.

In bigger groups of 4+, the evening buffet is the best, with a huge set of starters, dinks and a variety of dishes to pick for the main course.

And if you like a laid back cozy candle ligt dinner or then just a smal chit-o-chat over dinner, the inside siting is the best.

Averagely priced, its a good bet for the money..
