  • Huge Dissappointment

    Had heard many fine dining experiences at Silk Route from various sources but was thoroughly disappointed!!! I tried my hardest to understand the reason behind the popularity surrounding Silk Route. Its simply a place in posh Koregaon Park which claims to serve East Asian food. Full stop.
    Food is just average. Service is lousy. Ambience is standard. Overall: an almost tolerable dining experience.
    Verdict: If has patience to wait for the food, satisfy ur tummy & wallet with small serving dishes, tolerate the music & pay the bills without feeling fooled, then sure, it is the place for U!

  • Terribly misleading East Asian cuisine

    So in search of authentic east asian cuisine I went to Silk Route on my birthday...

    1) Sushi / Maki Rolls... were terrible. They were salty (how can that be!) and they were almost empty...
    A shrimp tempura roll had just sea weed, rice and one small piece of shrimp tempura.. nothing else... 6 pieces or so cost me 500 rupees...
    Even in Japan and US, a sushi roll does not cost more than 15 dollars (tht is like 700 rupees)... What a waste of money... the ingredients inside what hey served at Silk Route cost not more than 10 rupees for sure!

  • A great Eating Experience

    Directions: From Koregaon Park road, take North Main Rd. Take a right at lane 6. Silk Route is on your left at the first crossroad.

    The first thing that strikes you as you enter Silk Route is a very authentic oriental ambience, a golden lion sitting pretty between bamboo plants and the waitress’s dressed in traditional Thai costumes. The place has a garden seating as well as an indoor seating arrangement.
