One of the best Hanguouts in Pune
Thousand Oaks is an awesome hangout ! There are very few places like this in pune that let you get your hair down on a weekend . The interiors rock...I love the semi lit ambience. Another favourite and a must try out here is the Barman's Pitcher which is pitcher full of every possible liquor combination. Also not to be missed are the French fries with Tartar Sauce (which is the best tartar sauce i've ever had). The DJ on the weekends is pretty cool too , dishing out some of the best classics and alternative numbers. In All ..this is one hell of a place and totally worth every Penny.

Sure vivek. The place gives a nice change from the smoky places.
Their main bar area has 4 split-ACs (in that small space) which ensure that the space is less smoky and the temperature is maintained.

relaxing atmosphere
Having gone there for lunch a year or two back, i would def. vouch for their excellent food & choc mousse.
Their black Dal was excellent from what i recall.
At lunch time a 10% discount was given which was like icing on the cake
Went at night for drinks & the relaxed, chilled out atmosphere at this old age bungalow converted into restaurant was a pleasant change from your smoky, cluttered & claustrophobic atmosphere at most places these days.

excellent sports bar, sad service
1000 Oaks has an awesome sports bar ambiance. It also has an outside sitting apart from the inner bar area.
I was there to watch the India-Australia semifinal (twenty-20 world cup). The place was packed but we managed a place to sit since we went there really early. They have a decent sized wall hung tv on top of the bar where you can enjoy the sport.
The food is great as well. I would surely recommend the paneer tikka and the paneer chilly...extremely delicious and very well done. (Priced at Rs. 130 each). Kingfisher pints and bottles are prices at Rs 100 and Rs 180 respectively.
The only spoiler in the entire experience was the service, specially from guys who take and manage orders. They wont let you sit for a minute without eating or ordering. So dont be surprised if you are handed over the bill while you are thinking what to order next.
They shut down at 11.30 pm. No cover charges.
