Why is it so crowded?

I guess the review title says it all. I would certainly tend to agree with the earlier reviewers that this place is over-rated.
A typical run-of-the-mill multi cuisine restaurant with a huge menu. I also find it kind of expensive for what they dish out. They are probably charging their customers for the open space and ample parking on offer!
The only thing really cool about this restaurant is the wireless Palm OS based device that is used to take the orders. -

Rajasthani Style Snacks

You must visit this place for their "Pyaj ki Kachori" and "Kanji Vada". Run by a family from Jodhpur (if I remember correctly). I guess the last time I ate a good pyaj ki kachori was in Jaipur at Rawat Mishtan Bhandar (RMB). Glad to have something comparable now in Pune :-) -

It does not serve "sea food"!

If you are from any place in "South or West" of India you will find this place shockingly expensive for the ambience, decor and it's South Indian snacks. I really can't recall any Udupi run eatery (in Bombay, Pune, Bangalore) charge a bomb for "Steam Idli".
Initial shocks apart, they certainly do make up for it with their tastefully done sambhar and freshly ground coconut chutney which is quiet rare in NCR. Whenever I'm visiting the NCR I do make it a point to visit Sagar (they have many branches) to get my fill of good South Indian snacks. -

Ghar ka swaad

This food joint is mostly frequented by those who are looking for "Ghar ke khaane ka swaad" (if you are North Indian!).
I always made it a point to order their sukhe alu, roti (phulka), dal tadka (arhar ki daal) and kheer.
Home for me, was hop skip and jump but there were times when I need to just go and get something to eat from 'Crystal". It plays some really golden oldie's and the "Uncle" at the bill counter ensures that all guests really do feel at home :-) -
