No.3 Home Elegance, Museum Road, Bangalore

Average

Good Indian Food, but not worth the price

We had already decided to meet for dinner, but heavy rains forced us to change location, one one of our friends suggestions we decided to go to Adaa-Hind Ki on a rainy tuesday night.
We reached place at around 9.15 and found parking place for our cars on the busy Musuem Road (luckily it has parking facility within the building and of course they have Valet parking too).

The restaurant is in 1st floor, and the wooden staircase leading to the restaurant is too creeky, actually embarassing. Once we reach we are welcomed by the staff with a proper "Namaste" i.e., vocal and hand gesture. We were greeted by atleast 10 individual staff at the restaurant, a royal tratment, but embarassing too.

We were the first guests at the restaurant that evening, so we could choose just any table we liked from the 30 odd tables in the hall, we also checked the open air section which looked decent but due to weather conditions we preferred to sit in the hall.

I was pretty impressed with their beverage menu which included almost any brand one could think of , though not too many coctails to choose from. The food menu is also pretty impressive, and a lot to choose from, though you dont have options for soup(Shorba). We ordered some coconut water moctail which was served to us within a

We ordered a veg mini platter and a non-veg mini platter, and to our surprise the non-veg platter was served along a tandoori pomfret. The platter was pretty good, not too spicy nor oily, pleasantly flavored. For the main course we ordered a Mutton Raan and some chicken gravy, both were good. And finally steamed rice and Dal Makhani which wasn't great, but acceptable. There was no room or time for the deserts and we got the excess food packed, the maincourse dishes and rice are served in large portions, and it was a little too much for 5 of us. Overall a good dining experience.

Critically speaking , this place might not last too long, since the utilization is just 10%....firstly the embarassment one has to go through with so many Namaste's , then the beverages are priced EXTREMELY high, a Corona costs 275+tax , crazy price, and the coconut water mocktail we had, costed 250+tax , that is dacoity, in my view.

Platter is very expensive again , a piece in the platter costs around Rs. 60 and Rs. 90 for the veg and non-veg platter, surely we'll never take the platter again,,,it makes sense to order individual items. The main course dishes are good and priced moderately.

Final verdict:
Welcome - Good but embarassing
Interiors and Seating - Average
Beverages - Good collection but over priced
Food - Very Good but Platter is overpriced
Service - Good
+point - easy parking, no reservation needed, food not too oily or spicy, not overcrowded or noisy
-point - the price

To go or not to go: One can always go and try out the place, but rarely one would become a regular there. Moreover Samarkand and Sikandar(Garuda Mall) offer a much better dining experience, food quality and definitely at a much better value for money.
