Good
Come summer and most of us r in search of places where in we can quench our thirst with some thing to drink, and wat else can be better than a cold fresh fruit juice or an icy milkshake.
Krishna is one such juice bar (as people say) that I came across recently. Krishna was one accidental discovery as I was in mood to eat something whereas a frnd was keen on havin something to drink and then u all can guess we landed at Kirshna.
Livin in pune since past 4 n a half yrs I got real late to come to Krishna.
Krishna is a small shop rite in the lane next to Naturals JM road, u can see it on the left hand if you stand facing Naturals.
Tho not out of the world, exotic and eye treating stuff Krishna means business and serves all fresh fruit juices to all sorts of milk shakes reasonably priced at not more than 20 Rs a glass.
It has all the usual fresh fruit juices like mosambi, orange, watermelon, pomegranate and a wide range of shakes like strawberry, mango, chikoo, papaya, musk melons, chocolate, vanilla.
The USP of Krishna lies in the word FRESH and I would recommend havin any fresh fruit juice or a milkshake and u would surely ask for a repeat or try somethin more.
Look at the menu place your order pay first, self serve and go n sit wherever you like, there are quite a few wooden boxes, stools kept around the shop and in the near by area and if these are not enuff there are always some bikes standing in the parking or walls that can be occupied :)
Being a residential area the owner of the shop might ask the customers to be in the vicinity of the shop owing to complains from the neighbors or the houses around.
Nothing extraordinary but Krishna sure is one place that you can go anytime and have somethin fresh.

Good
Fish Moli, puttah(some rice preparation), payasam, kadla curry, chicken stew, rassam, more(buttermilk), chicken pepper fry, chicken malabar, appams and idi appams and many more.. man there is a whole list of a must try dishes at southern spice :)
Pls bear with my pronunciations, coz i will never b able to get these mallu names correct :)
1st introduced to the joint by my mallu room-mate (thanks a lot buddy) i guess i become a regular there than him in a very short span n rightly so, not only because it was altogether a different type of food group for me but it was some great GREAT FOOD.
The place has a simple decor and u get a feeling of being at some place down south with some mallu music playing in the background. people come in just to eat some good stuff hence the decor doenst matter much :)
The menu is straighforward and consists of many options of meals and dishes.. thali's are a good budget option if you want to taste and everything in small proportions.
This place has a typical banana leaf meal on Onam..
Suggestions:
A typical meal at southern spice can start with a More(buttermilk), pepper chicken for a starter then a fish moli, a chicken stew and appams and follow it up with some brown rice :) This should suffice 3
Never tried tho but they also serve oysters, beef and shrimps..
do try it if in search for some real mallu treat..

Good
A good cozy hangout and a quite place to give ur taste buds a real treat..
u order anything and be assured that its going to be worth every penny.. The food not only tastes good but is very neatly presented and you feel like tryin out something more. Personally i feel most orders are placed by looking at the well decorated and neatly presented stuff goin on someone elses table :)
Things to try out:
Baked beans on toast:: one of my favs and u get the best here
Chole bhature:: a bit oily but worth even that means exercising the nxt day
various pastas:: the right mix
chilly cheese toast:: they have their own bread for this
Not tried the other baked dishes and some starters but they sure look delicious.
The staff is well mannered and has a good menu knowledge.

Good
there r quite a few nighters in the city to catch up a quick bite.. to name a few lets start with
1. "Gokul" this is a good place where you can catch a nice pavbhaji, tava pulav normal main course and off course cold coffee :) till the wee hours of the mornin
located in a lane off the petrol pump before nehru memorial on the right side and is quite resonable
2. "Mini Punjab" this is a dhaba on the way to hinjewadi from the wakad flyover open almost all night (thanks to all the BPO's there :)). its a bit hard to locate as u wont even realise that there is such a big place jus adjacent ot the main road.. even the parking is hidden..
But for all the party freaks and late nighters this is a good place, food to eat good non veg, offcourse being a dhaba booze is the priority for most of the crowd, however has a well gaurded family section..
Crispy corn bhatura is a must eat there as a snack.. a bit oily but awsome on taste..
3. "The pride" this my fav for coffee. located infront of hardikar 2 mins form esquare is a good place to sip coffee after a late nite show.. food is good but a bit on an expensive end and obviously so coz its a coffe shop in a 3 star hotel..
i am not sure if this still holds true but its an unlimited re-fill on each cup of coffee that u order after 11 :)
hope this will help
